Strategies for approaching repeating problems presents a series of performances, presentations and talks around the ideas explored in Accidentally on Purpose, connecting the exhibition to wider contemporary issues in cultural production and discourse. Taking the notion of a repeating problem as a starting point, we will invite artists, writers and curators to discuss an element of their practice within this framework. Notions of recurring issues will be explored from artistic and wider social perspectives; from difficulties inherent in language and communication; to the way artists and writers position themselves in relation to political events and wider social issues. This event will identify these current or ever-present difficulties, discuss their perception from different positions and consider whether notions of progress or return are clichés or inevitable fates.

Registration is at 10:45am, Events are from 11:00am – 5:00pm and Lunch is 12:45pm – 1.45pm.
